Puerto Rico.

Dylan + I had the opportunity to travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico for his cousin's destination wedding. It was absolutely beautiful + I have never had the chance to swim in ocean waters so clear + warm my feet on such white sands before. Not only did my heart skip a beat when gazing at Puerto Rico's gorgeous beaches, but also my soul came alive while walking down the streets of Viejo San Juan (Old San Juan). I've never been to Europe, but I imagine it looks very similar to Viejo San Juan with its cobble-stone streets, its colorful buildings, + its way of crafting the perfect meal + beverage. While there, we ate brunch at a captivating café called, Caficultura; the service was beyond warm + welcoming, the food was delicious, + the hazelnut latte is to die for.

After visiting the lovely island, I highly recommend Puerto Rico as that next getaway you're thinking about: as a U.S. resident, you don't need a passport; plane tickets are affordable; the cabs/taxis were surprisingly inexpensive; the rich culture is intriguing + mesmerizing; the food, the coffee, the margaritas + piña coladas are delicious; + despite being a U.S. territory, it does not feel like you're in the U.S.

Don't forget, if you're ever in the area, check out Caficultura in Viejo San Juan - I give it 5 stars!
